I know, I know! You are thinking “This event is in mid August, why are you even bothering posting about it now?”. As I’ve said before Other Nature’s events sell out pretty quick, and this one in particular, sells out almost immediately. So, in case you ever had the tiniest interest in bondage, do sign up for this workshop!
Shibari is the art of japanese rope bondage. It is often used as a component in BDSM play and an enhancement in sexual activities, but can also be performative and visually beautiful to watch. When done properly, shibari can increase the level of endorphine and other hormones in the model, thus the experiencing of "rope high" or "rope drunk". Make sure to check out sluttish for more info on shibari, as there are few articles coming up on it in July-August.
Ann Antidote works mainly with video / bondage / sound installations. She’s been doing shibari for almost 10 years now, so yes indeed an expert you would like to learn from. She is also an avid promoter of polyamory and sex positive lifestyles, and integrates this social justice perspective onto her shows and workshops. For more events by Ann Antidote, you can check the Strange Life of the Savages. More info and to register to the workshop check it out on Other nature's site
