A TV Show based on Spike Lee's 80's movie She's Gotta Have It is launching this winter on NETFLIX. The series, recreated by the director after 31 years, tells the story of Nora Darling(DeWanda Wis) who defines herself as "sex positive, polyamorous, pansexual".

I'm not a freak, I'm not a sex addict, and I'm damn sure nobody's property.

Darling is an artist, dating three men and experimenting with monogamy and non-monogamy. Unfortunately, it seems we won't be seeing any exploration in terms of pansexuality in season one, but lets hope for season two.

While the original movie had some issues in exploring female sexuality, the TV show, judging from the trailer seems relevant and up to date and might be a great way to represent polyamory in mainstream media. Checkout the trailer below:
